What you will learn Learn the tools that actors use to appear more confident and competent! • Increase your ability to think more confident thoughts and feel more confident. • Explore acting exercises that focus on your mind, body, speech, and breath. • Learn how to use tools from the actor’s ‘toolbox’ to help you improve your communication skills.


  1. Participants will be able to identify the meaning of the term “confidence” and how it relates to being an effective interpreter.
  2. Participants will be able to list at least three steps instrumental in building and maintaining a level of confidence during their role as an interpreter.

Participants will perform at least two mental and/or physical exercises that are used as a daily routine in increasing interpreter’s confidence
